Our coaches have been there, done that and are very user friendly. The Lab has members who are completely new to the sport to those who ride bikes for a living. Triathlete or cyclist. James ‘CHOPS’ Lamb is an Endurance mountain biking athlete. James has dedicated the last 10years to the Sport of Mountain biking, over this time he has had to bounce back from accidents with cars or the while working fulltime in the Fitness Industry.

Team/club

James is also an SEARCH 4 HURT athlete and contributor to their magazine as the Cycling Guru along with being an Ambassador for 2XU Bondi Junction.

Peter is Athlete Labs longest serving coach since starting back in 2012, with experience in the fitness industry dating back to 2005. When not in the Lab or riding somewhere he is studying exercise physiology at uni, so is always looking for opportunities to apply the theory into practice at Athlete Lab.

Having done long Audax style events to stage races and crits there‘s not a lot he hasn’t done on a road bike and is always happy to pass on any advice if and where needed.

Tamas Allenby

Tam currently races in the National Road Series- the highest level of cycling in Australia- as a member of the SUVelo Racing team. Recent results for 2014 include multiple top-20 stage results at various NRS tours, 25th on GC at the Tour of Toowoomba, 7th at the Sydney Road Titles and 8th off-scratch at the Wagga Wagga Classic handicap. Tam recently graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences, and having split his time between studying, working and training for the last few years, knows what it takes to achieve your goals within the constraints of a busy schedule. FTP:345 watts or 5.1 w/kg.

Pat currently races in the National Road Series, racing alongside fellow athlete lab team member Tam, a member of the SUVelo Racing team. Recent results for the 2013 – 2014 seasons include 5th Young Rider Classification National Capital Tour, 8th U23 National Criterium Championships and 2nd U23 State Criterium Championships. Pat is currently studying a Bachelor Of Arts majoring in Criminology at Macquarie University. Juggling work, study and full time training displays his strong work ethic and his commitment to achieving at a high level. Pat’s Current FTP is 345Watts, placing him at a solid 5.2W/Kg
